1# Ageless Beauty: The Power of Natural Skincare

1# Ageless Beauty: The Power of Natural Skincare — Allow me to let you in on a secret, that is not so secret, but surprisingly enough, so many people do not know about it, and that is Natural skin care.

Natural skincare has been used for eons, you can almost tell who is using natural skincare and who is not, by looking at the most mature skin.

People using Natural skincare always look youthful without the need to get Botox or any other unnatural injectable added to any part of their body. This is not to say people who use natural skin care do not age, no one can stop signs of aging, however, people who use natural skin care tend to look naturally youthful, almost as to say they are aging elegantly, effortlessly slower than their counterparts.

The way they age is almost dare I say, effortlessly chick, you know they are not young but you also see how youthful and sexy they look as if aging makes them more attractive than the other way around compared to the same-age women who use chemical-loaded skincare.

I am 47 years old and I am a testament to this, I remember there were times when I started to freak out about why people around me seemed to pass me so far ahead when it comes to aging, here I am as if time stopped just for me.

I once asked my now 22-year-old son, “What if I have antiaging disease? Seeing how serious I was, he just said to me, “Mom, would that be such a bad thing?

“Well, it would be if I am all alone! That was my answer to him.

One memory comes back to me when I was in West Africa working with a lady called Emma, we worked together for a while and only dared to tell me on the week she was moving back to France with her husband, she said to me, “ did you know that I am the same age as you, but did not dare to tell you this, as I look like your mom”, I am paraphrasing the last sentence here as it has been a long time.

The point is, that YOU can slow down aging by not abusing your skin with unnecessary chemical-induced products that are on the market. Save your skin and save your money by using the product you possibly already have in your kitchen, and here is how to do it.

What is Natural Skincare?

1# Ageless Beauty: The Power of Natural Skincare

What are natural skincare products? Natural skincare is using the products you already have in your kitchen, and pantry like spices, herbs, dairy, fruits, and vegetables to make your exfoliation, face masks, and so on.

Are natural skincare products effective? By utilising these natural, nature-produced products not only do you get fresh potent products but you also can make new products every week as opposed to using chemical store-bought products and having to use them for 6 months at a time which means the week one you have already lost its potent and now are just using useless ingredients that do nothing for your skin.

Natural Skincare VS Chemical

Is natural skincare better than chemical?

Ingredients: Natural skincare products often contain plant-based ingredients, while chemical products may have synthetic compounds. Both can be effective, but as we all know the chemicals on these products not only have a shorter life shelf but will also dry your skin further, and worse they can damage your DNA.

Skin Sensitivity: Natural products when used correctly are less likely to cause skin irritation, making them suitable for sensitive skin. Chemical products may be harsher, so if you suffer from sensitivity you should be cautious.

Effectiveness: The effectiveness of skincare products varies. Some chemical products may provide faster results and faster damage to your skin as they have to be stronger to show any effectiveness, while natural products may require consistent use for noticeable changes.

Environmental Impact: Natural skincare is often considered more environmentally friendly as it uses sustainable ingredients by reusing the items you already have at home. Chemical products may have a larger carbon footprint due to manufacturing processes.

When to use Chemical SkinCare?

The only time I would recommend using chemically induced skincare is if you have specific concerns that require medical-grade treatments. Please note, that I am not talking about drugstore products here, I am talking about going to a dermatologist for a particular skin issue that needs a specialty to tackle it. Only then would I ever consider using medical-grade skincare. Usually, this is for a time limit, meaning the treatment should last 6 to 12 months to solve specific skin concerns and back to my natural skincare.

The second product that I highly recommend using which sadly is a medical-graded product that I use 12 months of the year is a SPF 50+ Sunscreen. This my dear ladies is a non-negotiable for me and I hope you make it non-negotiable for you too, thank me later.

Does Natural Skincare Work?

Are natural skincare products better? This depends on the situation and your skin needs at the time, if you have normal skin that needs normal care the answer is 100 % YES, The correct natural skincare is effective and will slow down aging by miles.

NOTE; To get the full effect from natural skincare, you must know your skin concerns and allergies to be able to get the benefit of natural skincare.

For example, are you allergic to dairy? If yes then know to stay clear of milk, yogurt, and anything that contains dairy.

Do not worry we will go through a few DIYs of a couple of my favourite skincare mixtures that I cannot live without and the alternatives so something for everyone.

Why Natural Skincare is Bad?

Natural skincare is never harmful to your skin, like many things, you need to know your skin needs and allergies before attempting to mix up your skincare at home.

Just like the store-bought products, some will work wonders the moment you apply them while others break your skin, natural skincare works the same way. To avoid this, one must get to know their skin before using any at-home remedies.

Can Natural Skincare Cause Purging?

like any other products, your skin will break out if you are feeding the wrong products, however, it’s important to distinguish between skin purging (skin experiences temporary breakouts)and a negative reaction to a product.

If your skin is new to natural skincare, this might happen, however, it should go away within 5 to 7 days of starting your natural skincare routine.

In summary, natural skincare can indeed cause purging, but it’s usually a temporary and positive process as your skin adjusts to new, beneficial ingredients.

How to Make Natural Skincare?

How to make natural skincare products? After studying your skin concerns and needs, just mix your chosen products to make up a thick consistency mixture before applying it to your skin as needed is as simple as that. The best part of it is that you get to make a fresh batch every time you need to use your products, this means that your ingredients are always fresh, potent, and effective at the time of use.

Why natural skincare is better? It is better because it is fresh and straight from Mother Nature. You get the effectiveness without the damaging chemicals that usually come with your store-bought skincare.

Exfoliant #2

  • Brightening exfoliant. 1 tablespoon Arm Hammer Pure Baking soda and 1 tablespoon orange peel powder. Mix this dry mixture well and use it morning in the shower after you wash your face. This mixture will smooth your skin like a baby butt. Because it is a powder mixture and does not have any large particles that might scratch your skin and therefor you have less chance of having irritable skin.

When to Start Skincare?

Most people have the question, what time is the best time to start a skincare journey?

The best time to start with your skincare routine is as soon as possible there is no such thing as too late in my book, however, children should be protected from the sun by their parents period!, as to when to start with your skincare routine goes, I would say at the age of 15 years old you should have a basic skincare routine started, and this should include, cleanser, microfoliant powder and a sunscreen.

In Summary: Ageless Beauty: The Power of Natural Skincare

To slow down aging you must have some sort of skincare routine going on to prevent skin from drying out, from sun damage and to get rid of dead skin which we as humans do shade our skin naturally, and by exfoliating, you polish off the dead skin that would otherwise make your skin look dull and your makeup not go on smoothly.

At-home skincare diy’s are the best because you can customize your skincare according to your skin type and with natural ingredients from mother nature which means, gentle on the skin whilst potent and easy on your bank account.
