Hello ladies, I am so happy you are back.

Looking flawless requires using the right tools and tricks when it comes to doing your makeup to look natural and flawless as if you are own skin is healthy and glowing from within, and you know what, It is so easy to get the look and still be able to pay the rent.

Which Make-Up Brush is the Best?

The secret is in the know, knowing what products and tools you need and you are in for a long-lasting flawless-looking makeup. In this blog post, my goal is to show you just how simple and easy it is to get it right. In the last blog post, we went through the only makeup products you need for that stunning-looking face, 10 — Ultimate Make-Up Products You’ll Ever Need! and today we will go through 8 — Ultimate Make-Up Brushes You’ll Ever Need!

In a world jampacked with advice and temptation to buy every brush and tool that comes on the market on a monthly if not daily basis, here are the only tools that you will ever need for all your makeup application and the kit I have been using for the last 10 years. I only ever replace them every 6–7 years and I am not going to lie some of the brushes are 15–20 years old.

The secret is to keep your brushes clean, Do this every couple of weeks and clean your beauty sponge every time you want to use it, this will make your makeup go on smoothly as you will need a damp sponge to apply your makeup.

When washing your makeup brushes, please do not go for expensive brush cleanses, I only ever use Dettol Bar Soap, just make sure it is a bar soap and not a liquid soap as seen above

Without further ado, here are the 8 — Ultimate Make-Up Brushes You’ll Ever Need!

1: Beauty Sponge

There are so many benefits to using a beauty sponge compared to using a brush when it comes to applying your foundation, but here are my two favorite benefits of using a beauty sponge.

  • It gives you a flawless, smooth finish to the foundation
  • The beauty sponge sponge doubles up as a concealer brush.
  • Beauty sponge also doubles up as a setting powder sponge

It is truly a multifunctional tool, you can see that the beauty sponge is one of my all-time favorite tools for makeup application.

2: Bronzer Brush

Bronzer Brush is one of the multifunctional brushes for me as well, I use this brush to bronze and contour my cheekbones, the temples to form a C shape and my jawline for that snatch look since I only use the same bronzer product to contour and bronze my face. You can also use your bronzer brush to contour the neck.

3: Crease Brush

The crease brush is a multifunctional tool as well, I use the crease brush to contour my eyelids, my nose, and the lower lip to give the lip a fuller look once I apply your lipliner.

I also use a crease brush to add more dimension to the cheekbone just where the bronzer ends, this gives my face that snatch look.

4: Flat Brush

A Flat Brush is another multifunctional product, when I tell you I am going to save money you think I was kidding, right? Nnno no no girls, we are all about looking fabulous however this should never cost you an arm and leg ladies, never again will ever! Spend our hard-earned money on things that do not bring us more benefits than we already have.

Right, the flat makeup brush, This brush is best used under the eye, just below your waterline. On the lid add a sudo wing liner which in my opinion flat brush creates a settle wing liner and is much easier to achieve with a flat brush than the liquid liner. I find a liquid liner to be a tad harsh as one grows old. We want to appear as if we have good skin and not a face full of makeup.

I also use a flat brush to further contour the top of the nose, which in turn will help make your nose pointier if this is something you want to achieve.

5: Concealer Brush

I can just about hear you saying, “Now look here, you said to use a beauty sponge instead and now you are asking me to buy a concealer brush”?!

Hold your horses beauties, just keep lending me your ear and I promise you are going to love what I have to say about the concealer brush, I promise!

A concealer brush is something I use to clean up my eyebrows after shaping them with my eyebrow pencil. This step will give your eyebrows the shape that you want them to be, ish, As we all know by now, eyebrows are sisters and not twins, we want them to look somewhat the same.

A concealer brush can be and I personally do this, can be used to go back after the makeup and cover up individual stubborn acne, dark spots, and any mistakes that happen when using your mascara.

A concealer brush also comes in handy when you have made a mistake lining your lips, you can concealer brush to clean up and make the line precise.

6: Fluffy Large Concealer Brush

This fluffy brush is very handy for a few things, I use it for creating the line on my cheekbones by cleaning up the residue bronzer.

Run the setting powder under my eyes after mascara to avoid my mascara smudging.

I use this brush to dust off any powder that is left on my face if I bake some areas. These usually are my smile lines, the corners of my mouth, my cheekbones for that definition, and my chin.

I use a fluffy brush to brighten up my lids and get rid of any lines that were not able to be smoothed away by setting powder, I also use the brush to set my eyebrows where I use concealer to clean up the brows. This will set the product in place and highlight your eyebrowbone.

Lastly, I use this brush to add setting powder on my lips every time I finish applying my lipliner to set it in place. You will never have to touch up your lips during the day if you do these steps. Thank me later!

7: Fan Brush

A fan brush is perfect for highlighting your face. I use this brush for the inner corners of my eyes, the tear dots, the side of my cheekbone just above the bronzer, my cupid bow, my nose, and the side of my face towards my temple.

A little secret between us girls, if you run the fan brush underneath the eyes only with what is left on the brush, do not add any more products, this will create this youthful bright look.

8: Pencil Brush

Think of the pencil brush as a fan brush little helper, they are both for highlighting the face except the pencil brush is more for adding a definition than applying the product, meaning, you can get precise lines with a pencil brush as you would with a fan brush.

A pencil brush is used for the inner corners of the eyes, the line between the nose and the mouth, and the cupid bow before using the fan brush over it.

And there you have it, the 8 — Ultimate Make-Up Brushes You’ll Ever Need! Of course, you can expand your collection as time goes by with a vast variation of makeup brushes that keeps on coming into the market on a monthly basis, however, please know that you DO NOT need these items but you can have some fun using them for sure.

An example of a very ridiculous product I have seen on TikTok recently was a Chinese girl using a massive powder sponge the size of a large pancake and she slapped it onto her face a few times and came out like a ghost! It was the funniest thing I have seen, making me laugh so hard. These tools are just for fun and not really ideal when you want your look to have flawless no makeup, make-up look.

But we can all have some fun every now and then I suppose!
