Top 2 human hair wigs every woman should own to save her natural hair! regardless ofthe ethnicity.

Ladies Say Hi to Your New Best Friends!

I bet you have never thought of having human wigs as a part of your makeover routine up until now.

So let me tell you why you should consider buying a wig as an alternative to your daily hair makeover.

Why Should You Own a Human Hair Wig?

Why Should You Own a Human Hair Wig?

Wearing a human hair wig not only gives you a full head of hair that you can style and shape according to your liking but owning a high-quality wig or two can help lessen the impact of hair damage caused by excessive coloring and daily styling.

Instead of using a hair dryer for styling your hair, why not give your hair a break and instead feed it with nutrients, such as a leave-in hair mask, and put it in a protective style such as a bun?

Then, rock your best human hair wig.

Hair Loss Story

Hair Loss Story

Here’s a short, scary, personal story on why I am convinced every woman should own a wig.

Back in 2016 -2018, I was working 9–5 and I loved it when my hair had no greys. I also loved having that full-body day-one wash style.

So I washed my hair every day to have that full-body day-one hair.

Because I washed my hair on a daily basis, my greys would show up just 9 days after I had colored my hair.

I did what most women would have done, coloured my hair prematurely or I would either add mascara, root cover-up sticks, or sprays to my hairline.

These root touch-ups are our hair’s worst nightmare.

They should stop selling them.

I was oblivious to what those chemical-loaded root cover-ups were doing to my hair.

My hair started to look dry and brittle to the touch by the time I got home from work and, slowly, my hairline started to break off.

By months 10–18, I was losing hair like no one’s business. I went from a head full of hair to unclogging my bathroom sink and vacuuming my bathroom floor on a daily basis.

I decided to see a trichologist, and after 10 minutes of scalp inspection, she advised me to get a full body count blood test.

She also mentioned my hair follicles being blocked and this might have been one of the issues as to why my hair did not grow.

She said the first three phases — anagen, catagen, and telogen — cover the growth and maturation of hair and the activity of the hair follicles that produce individual hairs.

During the final, or exogen, phase, “old” hair sheds and, usually, new hair is getting ready to take its place.

My follicles blockage was preventing new growth from coming out and so the growth stayed dormant, thus thinning the hair.

So I stopped using the root cover-ups and started to treat and clean my follicles as per my trichologist’s suggestion. (The product I used will be listed below)

I had bought myself two sets of the best quality human hair wigs to cover up my then-thinning hair, not because I wanted to buy a wig, but because I was so afraid of touching my own hair because of how easy my hair comes out by just touching it.

So coloring my greys or styling my own hair was obviously out of the question.

However, this time I am acutely aware of how I struggled with hair loss and my new hair routine has changed drastically as follows: If I am going for a walk with (Ayla) my cavapoochon, or if I am going food shopping or to the gym, I would always put my own hair in what is called a protective style which is just by adding hair mask and braids my hair as seen below and wear a cap to cover up greys, or just bad hair days.

Protective style

I only color my greys every 8–10 weeks and nothing between. I do not use store-bought hair dye or spend silly money at the salon.

I get my hair dye custom-made according to my hair needs and delivered to my house by eSalon at an affordable price.

I do not use any chemical or heating styles on my hair, nor do I touch those hideous root touch-ups.

I have Kerasilk Keratin Hair Smoothing Treatment every 12 months to keep my hair soft and manageable and to avoid pulling and causing unnecessary breakage.

On days I want to dress up and look gorgeous, I put on any of my two 100% human hair wigs. Not to chew my own horn but I look incredible!

With all that in mind, whether you’re a first-time wig wearer or a seasoned pro, this post will provide you with all the information you need to make an informed decision and achieve the perfect look. So, if you are ready, grab that cuppa, and let’s dive in!

What is a Human Hair Wig?

Human hair wigs are made from 100% human hair, so there are many advantages to choosing them over synthetic options. whilst human hair wigs can be pricey, they are also known for their durability and longevity, making them a worthwhile investment for those looking for a high-quality wig.

I like the fact that they offer a natural look and feel that synthetic wigs cannot match.

Human hair wigs can be found in a variety of styles, textures, and colors. And because they are human hair, you are able to style them like you would with your own hair.

Because of this, human hair has become one of the most popular choices on the market to date.

How to Choose the Right Human Hair Wig Style.

There are so many styles, colors, and textures of human hair wigs. However, the most realistic human hair wigs are the one that fits best with your own natural hair.

Whilst you can wear about any hairstyle, texture, or color when it comes to wearing a wig, I recommend choosing a wig that amplifies your own natural hair.

Choosing the right wig for your complexion and original hair type is the best way to get away from wearing wigs under the radar.

You want people to say, “You look fantastic” and not “What wig are you wearing?”

What Wigs Type is Best for Caucasian

The best human hair wigs for caucasian is the straight lace front wigs like the Malaysian Virgin Hair or the wavy lace front wigs.

What Wigs Type is Best for African American

The best human hair wigs for African American or Black Africa like myself is the Kinky style or the curly style hair depending on your hair type, you should be able to find the texture suited to your own hair type.

This not only will make you feel good about wearing a wig, but also comfortable being out and about.

I also recommend looking into the size of the wig cap and the density of the hair as they come with ample options to choose from. I recommend going for a light density for that natural daily wear.

This, in turn, will make wearing it feels natural and comfortable and thus, making you more confident being around people.

Cap size will decide whether your wig can lay down well on your head, so it is very important to choose a suitable size. If you are not sure about your cap size, we do recommend you to measure your head in advance.

  1. You need to lay down your hair as tight as you can before measuring your head size.
    2. Measure your head size like the picture tutorial below, and remember to write down all your measurement.

Third, check your measurement and the size table, and choose a suitable size.

Last but not least, when buying a wig pay attention to cap construction. This is the base that holds the hair in place.

There are several types of constructions to choose from, including full lace, lace front, monofilament, and traditional caps.

Best Human Hair wigs websites

Confused? Not to worry, by the end of this blog, I will give you the links to the right wig for beginners.

Whilst there are plenty of online stores to choose from, and with ‘best human hair wigs on Amazon’ being an easy search away, I would highly suggest instead finding more reputable companies to buy your wig from.

There are several online wig stores where you can buy good quality wigs. As a beginner, I recommend doing in-depth research before buying one.

Here are the best Human Hair wigs websites that have been good to me and where my wigs have come from.

Skip the Amazon roulette. Try these verified brands:

They offer beginner-friendly guides, great quality, and reliable sizing.

How to Style Your Human Wig.

Easy peasy!

Since the quality of this hair is the same as your own, meaning human hair, you should be able to style them the same way.

This is also the best way to get your wig to look as if it’s your own hair but on a good hair day.

Please note, do not use your expensive hair treatments or conditioners.

Use a good store-bought shampoo and conditioner according to the hair type. Meaning, if your hair is curly, use products designed for curly hair.

If your hair is sleek and straight, use a product that suits it.

If you are straightening the wig, make sure to use heat-protective products beforehand as you would with your own hair.

As simple as that!

How to Store Your Human Hair Wig

You should be able to store it on a mannequin or wig bag that comes with the wig. Very simple.

Do try to keep it away from dust and wash it often to keep it from smelling or collecting dust.

Which Wig Brand is Best

While there are many online stores to choose from, here are my top 2 websites recommendations from personal experience.

Do I Need to Glue My Human Hair Wig On?

Absolutely NOT!

You do not need to glue your wig on. I hate doing that and so what I do instead is use a headband. So I would tie my grey headband first and use it as is and, if I want more, I would then add my designer headband, like seen below.

It has been such a long time since I glued a wig on my head.

But, I would glue the straight hair with a headband as it needs to stay on when I am out and about.

What Glue to Use for Human Hair Wig

I am not one to use glue when wearing a wig, but whenever I do I find the Schwarzkopf got2b Glued Ultra Styling Hair Gel to be my favorite of them all.

But before applying the glue make sure to clean the area with rubbing alcohol first to get rid of any oil on the skin.

Give it a second to dry completely then add your glue as seen in the video above.

How To Take The Human Hair Wig Glue Off

Unglueing the Wig is very simple, as well as hassle and pain-free.

Start by taking a cloth, submerging it with water, and dabbing the hairline where the glue is. It should fit within immediately

After that, wash your face as you normally would and moisturize before bedtime.

Can I Wear a Human Hair Wig Overnight?

Sleeping with a wig on is like swimming in the vast sea with your expensive Diamonds on, a big no-no.

You could, but try to avoid it at all costs. For two reasons, you do not want the glue on your skin any longer than necessary. And you also do not want to tug at your hairline throughout the night.

How Long Should I keep The Human Hair Wig On?

If you took your time and installed and secured your wig correctly, you should be able to wear the wig all day.

But, overnights are a big no-no! This could cause damage to your own hairline.

What Accessories And Tools Do I Need For The Human Hair Wig?

There are a few tools you will need depending on what style you are going for.

If you are going for a straight human hair wig, you will need styling tools, protective hair products, and shampoo and conditioner.

If you are going for a curly or natural human hair wig, you will need curling products.

Do not forget your headband for those days you do not feel like gluing your wig on.

Can I choose Human Hair Wig colors I want?

Go to town!

Experimenting is fun when it comes to wig styling and, after all, it is not permanent.

However, natural is always best in my personal opinion. It makes wearing your wig on a daily basis, should you wish to, easy.
